Dr. Maria Cristina Broesel is a Specialist General Practitioner. She passed the Australian Medical Council examination in 2002 and obtained her fellowship of the Royal College of General Practitioners in March 2015. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Doctor of Medicine at St Louis University in the Philippines. Dr. Maria Cristina Broesel is a very experienced dedicated doctor with a wide range of disciplines. She aims to provide quality patient care for each person’s individual care needs and to inform each patient with clear educational information of their medical problem or concerns. Dr Broesel is available for consultation through the week from Mon to Fri.
Dr. Aung San
Dr. Aung Htet San is a Specialist General Practitioner. He obtained his fellowship of the Royal College of General Practitioners this year in January 2017. He worked in Myanmar (Asia), Seychelles Islands (Africa) and the UK, before moving with his family to Australia in 2010. He graduated with Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (From Yangon, Myanmar) in 2000. Dr. San is a passionate and considerate family doctor with a keen interest in diagnostic medicine. Dr San is available through the week from Mon to Fri.
Caroline Ng – Practice Nurse
Caroline is our clinical nurse who looks after all patients that come through our family practice.
Caroline is passionate in helping patients of all ages and here at Camden South Family Doctors plays an imperative role in our patients’ care. She is responsible for administering vaccinations, tending to wounds and applying bandages, removing stitches, assisting doctors in minor procedures, as well as many other duties.
Caroline completed her Bachelor of Nursing degree at UTS in 2012; and Post Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Management at Deakin University in 2016, respectively. Has been working in General Practice, as well as community nursing, for over 10 years.
• Caroline is available everyday on weekdays, from Monday through to Friday.
Luke Jenkins – Physiotherapist
Luke received a Masters of Physiotherapy degree from Sydney University in 2015. He then went on to work at Campbelltown Public Hospital, gaining experience in a wide range of clinical presentations, before focusing on the management of musculoskeletal pain. Luke is currently available at our medical centre once a week, during which time he provides evidence-based treatment for a range of musculoskeletal presentations. He works closely with medical doctors to optimise patient outcomes, and is currently also working on a PhD at Western Sydney University, investigating the role of the nervous system in the transition from acute to persistent low back pain.
Luke encourages an active treatment approach to musculoskeletal pain that supports self-efficacy, optimism and resilience. Luke is available for consultation on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Care Plan Allied Health sessions will be bulk billed (ask your GP if you are eligible). Private consultation fees are $85 for initial and $70 for subsequent. Private health funds will generally cover about half of these costs.
Laura Chan – Podiatrist
Laura graduated from The University of Western Sydney with a Bachelor of Health Science and a Masters of Podiatric Medicine. She is a member of the Australian Podiatry Association and The Australasian Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine. Laura has a keen interest in all facets of podiatry, including but not limited to general foot care, biomechanical and sports injuries and rehabilitation, orthotic therapy and permanent ingrown toenail surgery, paediatric management and diabetes assessment and prevention. Laura is dedicated to providing evidence-based treatments for her patients. Laura is available for consultation on Mondays. Care Plan Allied Health sessions will be bulk billed (ask your GP if you are eligible). Private consultation fees are $70 for initial and $60 for subsequent. Private health funds will generally cover about half of these costs.
Glenn Fairweather – Exercise Physiologist
Glenn has completed a Bachelor in Sport and Exercise Science and a Masters in Exercise Physiology. Glenn aims to improve the function and mobility of people suffering from chronic health conditions and injuries, as well as assisting elderly and healthy people wanting to improve their mobility and exercise technique. He believes exercise can be tailored to suit everyone in every situation, and doesn’t view disability, disease or ageing as barriers that prevent an active healthy lifestyle. Glenn has a passion for helping people achieve their health and fitness goals through exercise. He believes it is particularly important to develop and implement exercise programs based on each person’s physical, emotional, and social needs as this helps in the empowerment of individuals and the achievement of positive outcomes. Glenn is available for consultation on Thursdays. Care Plan Allied Health sessions will be bulk billed (ask your GP if you are eligible). Private consultation fees are $65. Private health funds will generally cover part of these costs.
