RSV vaccine (Arexvy®) now free for Adults 75 years and Above

Adults aged 75 years and above, and Aboriginal people aged 60 years and above, will now be eligible for the free NIP funded “RSV” (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) vaccine (Arexvy®), from 15 May 2026. RSV symptoms typically mimic a common cold, including runny nose, coughing, sneezing, fever, and decreased appetite, usually appearing 2–8 days after exposure. While most recover in 10 days, it can cause severe breathing issues, wheezing, and, in babies, irritability or breathing difficulties.
